Description

UPMC Health Plan is hiring a full-time Marketing Coordinator to support the Marketing Communications Department for its downtown Pittsburgh location at the US Steel Tower. This is a Monday through Friday daylight position.

This position is on the UPMC Health Plan’s member engagement team who create communications in the areas of chronic condition management and lifestyle programs for existing members.  The member engagement team works directly with subject matter experts as well as internal marketing teams to translate difficult messages into easy-to-understand communications.  The successful candidate will be exposed to and play a part in developing communications that help members understand their benefits, utilize no-cost insurance resources/programs and prevent illnesses before they happens.

The Marketing Coordinator handles the day-to-day operations and processes of the member engagement team including but not limited to working with internal teams/clients to develop, update and/or revise communications, manage existing physical inventory, create digital communications such as emails and webinars, solicit required approvals, and more.  The Marketing Coordinator may also assist with planning and executing of small-to-medium size marketing efforts based on the successful candidate’s ability to show aptitude, a desire to learn and grow, organization and trustworthiness. As an entry-level position, the Marketing Coordinator has a tremendous opportunity to learn and develop as a professional.

The successful candidate will show the ability to be organized, work on multiple projects simultaneously, build professional relationships/work well with others, document their work and meet deadlines.  


Responsibilities:

  • Support meeting and document preparation, production, and delivery.
  • Build and manage the strategic plan and deliverables.
  • Coordinate resources and development activities to meet project objectives both on time and on budget.
  • Ensure coordination and clear communication among constituents on all activities.
  • Identify and detail appropriate activities that drive sales and support retention.
  • Assist with the creation and execution of campaigns as identified by management that acquire, convent, engage, educate, drive demand, and support revenue and business goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, business development, or sales support required.
  • Minimum 1- 3 years' experience in sales, marketing, or account management preferred.
  • Healthcare and/or insurance experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines concurrently.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, initiative, and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management.
  • Good computer skills.
