Temporary Casual Screener Support at UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside Hospital

We are looking for a Casual Temporary Screener/Admin Support to join our team! This dynamic role will assist our hospital teams with various screener responsibilities at the entrances of UPMC Presbyterian and UPMC Shadyside. This casual temporary role is a six-month-long assignment located at UPMC Presbyterian and UPMC Shadyside. This position will be scheduled to work 12-16 hours per week with the opportunity to pick up more hours. Shifts and scheduled days will vary. All shifts  start as early as 4:30 am and end as late as 10:00 pm. The ideal candidate will have flexibility in their schedule to work various days and shift times as needed. Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist any staff and visitors
  • Identify safe entry to the facility by asking provided screening questions
  • Ensure temperature is taken by automated thermometer
  • Escort visitor to destination
  • Provide proper PPE when necessary including mask
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by authorized personnel or as may be required to meet emergency situations
  • Partner with Information Representatives at the info desk to assist with patients’ questions and needs

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma is strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service industries is strongly preferred
  • Post-secondary education is preferred

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 34
