This role includes travel to providers in the Carlisle, West Shore, Cumberland, Franklin, and Adams counties

Provides training and on-going support to care providers on M*Modal front end speech recognition technology.



  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Consistently demonstrates appropriate and professional communication behavior toward care providers, patients and co-workers. Cooperates with Management and peers to promote an environment of teamwork and collaboration. Promotes Mission, Vision, Values and a professional manner at all times.
  • Reports issues to Manager as appropriate.
  • Provides additional training sessions as necessary, including on-site visits when needed.
  • Establishes, maintains and updates training material as necessary.
  • Keeps up-to-date on all M*Modal upgrades which impact care provider usage of technology.
  • Liaison between care providers and M*Modal Help Desk to resolve user issues.
  • Responds to care provider issues promptly.
  • Prepares and conducts training sessions.
  • Trains care providers on M*Modal front end speech recognition technology within the Epic EMR.
  • Supports care providers to optimize their EMR workflow through utilization of front-end speech products.



  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Some college preferred.
  • Graduate of an AHIMA approved health information program highly desirable.
  • MModal Fluency Direct Trainer Certification upon hire or must be obtained within the first year.Some teaching/training experience preferred.

Understands the integration of Fluency Direct with Epic and the impact of chart completion. Familiarity or ability to learn the use of M*Modal technology.Ability to multi-task. Schedule flexibility. Able to interact with all levels of staff and management. Ability to travel to various sites as needed. Strong customer focus and customer service skills. Excellent communication, written and organization skills with attention to detail. Ability to multi-task, prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.  Knowledge of and ability to use PC-based word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software to create teaching/learning materials and documentation.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Clearances must be dated within 90 days

  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
