Purpose:
Complete special projects under the direction of the Staff Associate to the Vice President of Administration

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the CNO and nursing administrative team to prepare and implement communication strategies including Newsletters and Presentations.

  • Accesses, formats and presents NDNQI Satisfaction and Quality data graphically and in table format for review by Administrative Director and supports preparation of presentation materials for NDNQI.

  • Primary liaison for staff professional development related to certification and degree advancement. Supports Administrative Director in developing programs to reach goals related to increase in BSN and certified nurses. Accesses and benchmarks professional staff development data including academic, certification and other credentials for internal and external reporting purposes.

  • Supports programmatic documentation including forms, policies, procedures, correspondence and outcome measures.

  • Works closely with Education team and Corporate Learning and Development to determine criteria of mandatory education, serves as local uLearn LMS Champion

  • Supports Administrative Director in development of Nursing Strategic Plan.Supports the Magnet designation activities, including support for writing, publication, and dissemination of documents and communication for both internal and external audiences.

  • Promotes recognition and rewards programs and communicates to the Center for Nursing Excellence and Innovation in a timely and complete manner.

  • Support special projects through project planning, coordination of efforts, and implementation.

  • Coordinates and manages accounting for all Nursing Education Fund activities, including maintain contractual arrangements, prepare invoices for payment, communication with recipients and accounting for resources in collaboration with the hospital foundation.

  • Primary liaison for applications and renewals for MyNursing career panel. Prepares panel recommendations for review and approval by the CNO.

 

Qualifications

B.A. or B.S. degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Communications, or related field. 2 years work experience preferably in a health care setting.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 34
