Description

UPMC Avalon Springs is hiring a Heavy Housekeeper/ Mainetance tech to join its team! 

This is a Part Time position working 

Located in Mercer PA, Avalon Springs is a modern nursing facility located on a beautiful 40 acre campus. Responsibilities:

  • Floor care as required throughout the facility.
  • Assess and complete all work orders in a timely manner.
  • Daily removal of all trash throughout the building and removal of garbage to outside dumpsters while maintaining cleanliness and safety in those areas.
  • Anticipates and takes action to maintain a safe environment. Incorporates safety/risk management standards into daily work practices.
  • Maintains safe working conditions for the facility by making or assuring timely repairs.
  • Reports any suspected or known resident abuse to Director of Nursing or Administrator immediately.
  • Follows established safety policies and procedures.
  • Performs preventive maintenance as directed.
  • Maintains the interior and exterior of facility as appropriate and/or directed.
  • Ensures the performance, condition, reliability of all plumbing, mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure efficient operation of all equipment.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities. Attends all mandatory in-services.

 

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Some experience in health care facility building maintenance preferred
  • Working knowledge of building codes and safety regulations preferred


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 34
  • OAPSA
