Description

The hire for this position will partner with the compliance team to work collaboratively across all of Western Behavioral Health Network to maintain consistency across all network sites. Will be responsible for assisting the Director of Compliance and Regulatory in the development, implementation, and monitoring of agency compliance and regulatory tasks to increase efficiency, cost effectiveness, and overall program compliance to mitigate risk, including potential safety risks.

This is a daylight position with the opportunity for flexible scheduling as well as some remote work. The dress code is casual and the parking garage is nearby for a minimal monthly cost. Should have strong excel skills. Experience analyzing data, resolving complaints and grievances is strongly preferred. 


Responsibilities:

 

  • Serve as a role model to foster a compliance culture in the organization.
  • Review actual and potential safety and risk occurrences with agency department heads and managers, identifying trends, making recommendations for action, and assuring compliance with the programs.
  • Participate in the agency wide performance improvement efforts through data gathering and analysis. Works cooperatively with other members of the development to meet common goals.
  • Adhere to the organization?s Compliance Safety and Risk plan, fulfill safety and risk objectives.
  • Maintain investigation claims and file with strict adherence to confidentiality mandates. Assist, as needed with Legal Counsel during litigation process.
  • Assists in the identification of serious events through the review and investigation of incident reports and potential safety and risk issues that may impact the total operation of the agency.
  • Communicates significant events, potential and actual claims, through established mechanisms in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to the organization?s Compliance Safety and Risk plan, fulfill safety and risk objectives. Adhere to national safety goals by planning, directing and monitoring implantation aspects related to those goals. Adhere to regulatory requirements set forth by federal and state agencies relative to safety and risk.
  • Apply and require performance improvement process/principles in operating systems. Measure, analyze data, and develop performance improvement strategies as required.
  • Coordinate/assist in program licensure visits, site surveyors, and county monitoring, including developing plans of correction for regulatory compliance.
  • Provide ongoing compliance/regulatory trainings and participate in compliance committees.
  • Provide support and resources on regulations and standards, including conducting chart audits, reviewing processes, providing feedback, conducting compliance investigations and FWA audits.

 

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelors degree in related healthcare area required WITH a minimum of 3 years of behavioral health work experience.
  • Ability to work with a variety of Microsoft office software systems.
  • Analytical ability to prepare, review and present statistical data. Interpersonal skills to work with management and physicians, and all levels of staff.
