We are searching for a Temporary Payroll Representative to join our UPMC Team! 

While in the temporary assignment, the Payroll Representative will work full-time, daylight hours, Monday through Friday.  This temporary assignment is estimated to cover six months.  Upon completion of department training, some work from home flexibility is available to strong performers!

The Temporary Payroll Representative provides advice, customer service, assistance, and resolution on payroll questions and issues.  They assist with the processing of payroll and tax filings.  They also make entries, adjustments, and corrections to payroll information to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws and corporate policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the processing of biweekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll, and tax activities.
  • Make entries, adjustments, and corrections to payroll information to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws and corporate policy. 
  • Respond timely and accurately to payroll questions and requests.  
  • Handle daily payroll administration activities such as calculate and prepare check authorizations, issue stop payments, check reversals and reissues for lost/stolen checks, etc. 
  • Records, responds, and completes wage/tax related levies, verifications and reporting. 
  • Process all addendums that are received for biweekly pay processing 
  • Completes assigned tax filings. 

 

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma is preferred
  • One year of payroll knowledge is preferred


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 34
