Description

Join a growing Primary Stroke Center at UPMC Altoona, part of the world renowned UPMC Stroke Institute. University of Pittsburgh Physician group is recruiting a board certified, fellowship trained interventional/endovascular neurologist to practice at UPMC Altoona.  

  • Work with an award-winning stroke care team of interventional and stroke neurologists, neuro-radiologists, critical care physicians and nurses, neuro-hospitalists, and support staff.
  • Enjoy unprecedented growth in a busy practice that includes round-the-clock stroke diagnosis and treatment, advanced and investigational stroke therapies, endovascular surgery, tele-stroke, outpatient and inpatient medical consults.
  • Participate in evening and weekend stroke call.
  • See patients in the outpatient stroke clinic.
  • Participate in tele-stroke.
  • Full spectrum of emergent and elective neuro-interventional procedures.
  • Neuro vascular inpatient consults.
  • Participation in multi-disciplinary conferences, quality improvement initiative and outreach.
  • Teaching and research opportunities with faculty appointment

  • UPMC Altoona is a level II trauma center, regional oncology center, and a Joint Commission-certified primary stroke center with comprehensive cardiology and cardiovascular surgery, interventional neurology, robotics, behavioral health, vascular and wound care
