UPMC continues to comply with governmental guidance related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. To be compliant with the federal mandate, employees must complete the approved vaccination dosage regimen currently defined by the federal government. Linen/Laundry Attendant (Part-Time) - Seneca Place

Description

Are you interested in a position that invests in the seniors in your community? Our team at Seneca Place Verona is looking for a Linen/Laundry Attendant with excellent customer service skills and a dedication to resident comfort.  In this entry-level role, you will work under the general supervision of C.S.S.D. Supervisor to distribute clean linens to user areas throughout the hospital.  You will also maintain records of the amount of linen sent and returned by each user area, process soiled linen as required, and unload vendor linen trucks when they arrive daily.

Seneca Place, located in Penn Hills, is a rehab and personal care facility with a team dedicated to returning residents to their highest level of independence. Responsibilities:

  • Conform to attendance policies as established by UPMC systemwide policies and department policies
  • Unload linen delivery trucks.
  • Process soiled linen according to procedures.
  • Attend department meetings, maintain awareness of Hospital and Department policies/procedures.
  • Comply with departmental policies regarding security of hospital property, locked areas, time cards, and dress code.
  • Complete all assigned supplemental requests effectively and efficiently.
  • Wear hospital identification at all times.
  • Ensure that she/he conducts herself/himself in a professional manner at all times.
  • Prepare and distributes a variety of clean linen to user areas on a daily basis and records all linen sent to a user area with 100% accuracy.
  • Restock scrub vending machines.
