Description

Purpose:
The Administrative Fellowship is a two-year post-graduate program in which the Fellow spends the fIrst year in a variety of core rotations to expose himlher to important aspects of health care management. During this time, the Fellow will be involved in various projects, meetings, and initiatives. The second year is elective and the Fellow will spend time working in area of interest and organizational need.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide a written summary of experiences and key issues learned at the conclusion of each rotation, and must provide feedback on how the rotation could be improved
  • Meet regularly with preceptors and mentors and provide all necessary information to ensure a mutually beneficial experience
  • Attend all relevant management and administrative meetings. May be required to provide administrative support for some of these meetings
  • Build relationships throughout the organization and proactively seek projects and opportunities for the second year of the Fellowship
  • Complete all tasks and projects as assigned by members of the executive team
  • Assist in the recruitment of new Administrative Fellows and should serve as a mentor for junior colleagues

 

Qualifications

Completion of a MBA, MHA, MPH from an accredited educational institution is required (Note that candidates finishing a graduate degree program that requires an administrative residency after completing classroom curriculum are eligible to apply)The ability to interface with numerous players in various departments and entities is important
