Coordinator, Special Services

Description

Promotes the Special Services program in the Sherwood Oaks community. Increases the awareness and utilization of Special Services. Be responsible for coordination of Special Services requests and staff assignments. Performs companion work as needed.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist Director of Residential Services with clerical task as requested.
  • Receive requests for Special Services coverage & transportation
  • Maintain staff schedules, appointment calendar
  • Cover short term request
  • Perform companion duties as needed in independent living
  • Participate in evaluation process of Special Services Staff
  • Prepare resident billing from time sheets.
  • Participate in recruiting and interviewing additional staff.
  • Orient & train new Special Services staff.
  • Increase utilization of Special Services in the community.
  • Schedule staff to cover request.
  • Cover schedule gaps until permanent person can be placed
  • Schedule security vehicles as needed.

 

Qualifications

High school graduate or GED required.Good organizational skills.Computer programs - Excel, Word, Outlook Excellent communication skills are required.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of employment
