The UPMC Center for Engagement & Inclusion is searching for a Human Resources Assistant to join the team!  This is a great opportunity to join a department focused on ensuring diversity, inclusion, dignity, respect and cultural awareness are core components of the UPMC experience.

The Human Resources Assistant is a regular, full-time position that works daylight hours, Monday through Friday.  A perk of this position includes flexible work arrangements!

In this role, the Human Resources Assistant will provide administrative support services to all team members in the Center for Engagement & Inclusion (CFEI).  They play an integral role in supporting internally focused and community focused initiatives, along with helping to showcase why CFEI is a great place to work!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support for projects as needed.
  • Act as department receptionist by answering office telephone line and greeting visitors.
  • Manage email service account and delegate questions to appropriate HR representative as needed.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to department leadership.
  • Provide support with ordering of office supplies, reviewing and organizing incoming mail, assist with filing/printing/copying/faxing items in a timely manner.
  • Respond to basic human resources questions and requests from employees or direct them to other human resources staff or UPMC resources as appropriate.
  • Assist leadership with processing expenses, screening calls, calendar management, scheduling meetings, booking conference rooms, taking meeting minutes, and processing expenses.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and one year of progressively responsible administrative experience required (preferably in a human resources environment).
    • OR Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required
    • OR successful completion of the UPMC Summer Associate Program/Pittsburgh Fellows Program required.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Proficiency in administrative skills, organizing and setting priorities, maintaining confidentiality, and customer service skills.
