Description

At Cole Place, part of UPMC Senior Communities, we are looking for a Nursing Home Administrator.  Conveniently connected to UPMC Cole, Cole Place is a home-like setting where we proudly provide compassionate care to our residents and their families.

Our NHA directs all functions of the services and facilities. They coordinate the work and responsibilities of all managers and supervisors at the facility, as well as the activities of the medical director and medical staff. They also ensures regulatory compliance, contracting and strategic planning to enhance the service line.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensures that residents rights to fair and equitable treatment are well established and maintained at all times. Meets with residents and/or family members to review and address any grievances or concerns.
  • Coordinates and directs all functions of the services and facilities. Ensures safety, quality care and services for residents.
  • Collaborates and interacts with other service leaders in the organization for strategic planning, integrating service lines and providing a vision and objectives for creating a mission driven culture of quality and care.
  • Defines and implements new services to meet organizational, regional, resident and referral needs. Sets strategic objectives for senior services.

  • Works with marketing and public relations to develop plans and promote services. Promotes involvement with community organizations to help promote community understanding of services.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing long term care delivery by continually monitoring the operations and its programs.
  • Developments and implements the budget and is responsible for producing revenue and managing costs.
  • Acts as a liaison with contractual agencies.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in healthcare or related field required.
  • Five years experience in an administrative capacity required.
  • The successful candidate will be a strong leader with proven communication skills.


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Required, or has obtained temporary practice permit and will complete NHA license within one year.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Act 34
  • OAPSA
