Research Principal

Description

Purpose:

The Research Principal will provide advanced level research and/or clinical and administrative support to the study. The study is based around neural mechanisms of mood disorders and obesity using a variety of human neuroimaging methods (MRI, fMRI, DWI, fNIRS). The Research Principal be mostly involved in data analyses and manuscript/grant writing.

This position is grant funded.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced level research and/or clinical and administrative support for the research study.
  • Mentor, train, and assist with supervising junior research staff as needed.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree required (Ph.D. preferred) preferably in Psychology, Neuroscience, Bioengineering, Biostatistics, or related research field.
  • Minimum of two years of work experience in a research project and/or related clinical setting is required.
  • Familiarity with computers and common software packages required.
  • Working knowledge of research methodology required.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to program in bash, R, Matlab, etc is preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
