Do you love recruiting but want to make a larger impact?  Look no further!  Our UPMC Presbyterian & UPMC Shadyside HR Team is searching for a Senior Recruiter to join the team!  The Senior Recruiter is a regular, full-time position that works daylight hours, Monday through Friday.  A perk of this position includes flexible work arrangements that allow you to spend a portion of your week working at home!

As a Senior Recruiter, you will assist and lead the development, implementation and management of recruiting strategies, including recruitment areas of high need and hard to fill positions.  You'll create, develop and manage diverse proactive pipelines of recruitment talent through strategic sourcing and networking.  Additional duties include reviewing applications, preparing salary recommendations, extending offers of employment, and much more.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain confidentiality of all information received within the guidelines of professional recruitment in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Represent UPMC at external and internal functions (i.e., job fairs, UPMC sponsored events, etc.), providing the public with information about UPMC and career opportunities.
  • Function as an internal search firm recruiter by performing specific recruitment searches as necessary.
  • Develop and initiate the most effective and innovative recruitment sources and initiatives for attracting and retaining the best-qualified candidates.
  • Review and evaluate candidate applications and/or resume in terms of related experience, education and skill rejecting those not meeting the minimum qualifications on the approved job description.
  • Identify high need and difficult to fill positions
  • Strategize with operational, clinical and HR about sources and strategies to attract applicants for high need areas.
  • Develop the appropriate relationships with schools, members of professional organizations and community members that could be referral sources.
  • Network with the existing professionals in these areas to find additional applicants.
  • Proactively build and create candidate pipelines; track individuals with these skill sets to network for future opportunities.
  • Assist with training for interview skills, sourcing and tracking candidates when needed.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required and three years of recruitment experience required.
    • OR High School Diploma/GED and five years of recruitment experience required.
  • Knowledge of the health care field preferred.
  • Experience with applicant tracking or HRIS systems required.
  • Experience designing and implementing models to find applicants for hard to fill positions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
