UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

As a Nurse Recruiter, you will primarily be responsible for recruiting travel nurses for our UPMC Corporate Services Team.  Daily job responsibilities may include reviewing applications, outreaching to passive candidates to discuss job opportunities, extending offers of employment, and much more.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake meetings to confirm job requirements and hiring manager preferences.
  • Confidently review, screen, and evaluate candidate applications and/or resume in terms of related experience, education and skill rejecting those not meeting the minimum qualifications on the approved job description.
  • Choose the most qualified candidates to refer to departments.
  • Proactively source for candidates by using internal database and/or candidate sourcing tools.
  • Prepare salary recommendations for department review and extend offers of employment.
  • Represent UPMC at external and internal functions (i.e., job fairs, UPMC sponsored events, etc.), provide the public with information about UPMC and career opportunities.

 

Qualifications

  • Actively licensed Registered Nurse required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
  • One year of nursing experience required.
  • Proficiency with recruitment related software and database mining preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Current RN in Pennsylvania required.
