Description
Assists patients, families, visitors, and the staff of Surgical Services to provide the following services: provide information, triage calls, check in families, address, and dispatch patient complaints, offer services and improve patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, family members, physicians, and staff.
- Alert Nurse Liaison and/or Manager to potential problems.
- Provide support and communication for patients’ families/visitors, surgeons and staff throughout the peri-operative process.
- Attend all required hospital training.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the staff.
- Follow recommended department guidelines for informing families/visitors of surgery process.
- Provide families with information as the patient proceeds through the operating room, PACU, and other areas.
- Ensure families are in the correct area during patients' surgery and are checked into the surgical family waiting room.
- Ensure positive customer service atmosphere and interactions in waiting room.
Qualifications
- High School diploma required.
- 1 years of experience in customer service is required.
- Previous experience in healthcare or as a greeter preferred.
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
