Description

UPMC Western Maryland, Nephrology is hiring a full-time CRNP to support our Western Maryland Health System Corporation.  The schedule will offer Monday-Friday, possible on-call and weekend rotations.  The primary role is outpatient office, and inpatient rounding.  The site location is UPMC Western Maryland, Medical Arts Building on our main campus.  No travel to other offices.

Purpose:
Under the clinical supervision of a physician, provides patient care promoting wellness while treating chronic and acute illnesses. Works within the guidelines of the Maryland Board of Nursing and in accordance with a written agreement with a licensed physician.

  • Communicates effectively and appropriately. Uses good judgment as to what to communicate to whom as well as the best way to get that accomplished. Speaks in a clear and credible manner, selecting the right tone for the situation and audience. Listens to others and allows them to make their point.
  • Clearly demonstrates a desire for a high level of satisfaction among customers. Communicates regularly with existing customers and makes it clear that customers can initiate conversations about concerns or issues. Accurately assesses the level of customers satisfaction through both confidential surveys and ongoing dialogue.
  • Possesses sufficient job skills and knowledge to perform the job in a competent manner. Is able to demonstrate skills and knowledge in day-to-day situations.
  • Possesses the technical skills and systems knowledge required to perform essential tasks in an efficient and effective manner. Demonstrates the willingness and ability to train or coach others in his/her area of technical expertise.
  • Demonstrates that s/he is an effective team player who adds complementary skills and contributes valuable ideas, opinions and feedback. Communicates in an open and candid manner and can be counted upon to fulfill any commitments made to others on the team.

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

Masters degree in Nurse Practitioner Program (Maryland Approved) required. 


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • A graduate of a CRNP accredited by the Accreditation Board Review Commission is required
  • Experience as a CRNP and/or experience in a clinical setting is preferred
  • Current state of Maryland license certified by the National Board Commission is required
  • Current CPR certification is required
  • CRNP RN
