UPMC continues to comply with governmental guidance related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. All employees and affiliated staff of UPMC entities are considered essential health care workers and will be accountable to follow the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) federal vaccine mandate. To be compliant with the federal mandate, employees must complete the approved vaccination dosage regimen currently defined by the federal government. Compliance with the federal mandate is encouraged before hire. Medical and religious exemption requests may be submitted for consideration.

Remote Fax Clerk Admin - Temporary


UPMC Health Plan is hiring remote Temporary Fax Clerk Admins to help support the Quality Improvement Department.

This is a Monday through Friday daylight position, and selected candidates will work remotely from home full-time. The successful candidate will provide administrative support including sending electronic faxes, speaking with providers via the phone, and documenting this interaction via web-based software.
This temporary assignment will run from February 1st - April 30th. 


- Conduct outbound calls to gather documentation from providers. 
- Send electronic faxes to providers. 
- Answer incoming inquiries from UPMC Health Plan providers. 
- Provide exemplary customer service by being proactive and responsive to all UPMC Health Plan customer requests. 
- Work with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook and web-based software on a daily basis. 
- Support all department personnel with duties including but not limited to answering phones, taking messages, filing, and faxing. 



- High School Diploma strongly preferred. 
- Post-secondary education is preferred. 
- Must provide computer and smart phone. 
- One year of administrative support working experience is highly preferred. 
- Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, and Outlook. 
- Must possess typing skills and working knowledge of word processing, electronic mail/calendar, spreadsheets, and web-based software.
- Must possess the ability to learn and effectively use various software programs. 
- General knowledge and experience with office equipment such as copiers, multi-line phone systems, fax machines and paging systems.
