UPMC continues to comply with governmental guidance related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. All employees and affiliated staff of UPMC entities are considered essential health care workers and will be accountable to follow the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) federal vaccine mandate. To be compliant with the federal mandate, employees must complete the approved vaccination dosage regimen currently defined by the federal government. Description

UPMC Cole is seeking casual Health Screeners to work day, evening, and weekend shifts based upon availability.

 

Responsibilities:

As a health / COVID-19 screener, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Understanding and following screening protocols
  • Asking a series of health-related questions
  • Ensuring individuals maintain appropriate social distancing while taking individuals’ temperature using a thermometer if required
  • Ensuring all individuals are screened prior to them entering the facility
  • Follow guidelines to determine if an individual is clear to enter a facility or turning them away if they are not clear for entry
  • Assisting patients with pathfinding through the facility to their destination
  • Assisting these patients by either walking them or assisting them in a wheelchair to their destination.

This position will have a set pay rate of $13.43.

 

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred but not required
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Physically capable of pushing a wheelchair and navigating patient to destination.


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
