Description
In addition to performing imaging procedures at an advanced level, coordinates workflow, assists with projects and coordinates educational activities. Functions as a working technologist and distributes workload to ensure efficient operations.
$6,000 sign on bonus with a 2 year commitment for new hires.
Responsibilities:
- Leads orientation and training for new hires, students and other medical personnel; ensures competencies are completed in the required time frame. Responsible for offering remediation with sonographers when necessary
- Performs ultrasound diagnostic examinations in accordance with Level I and Level II Advanced sonographer.
- Assists in talent acquisition interviews for successful recruitment of sonographer candidates and provides feedback for annual performance reviews.
- May be responsible for High Level Disinfection of devices, supplies and/or equipment
- Coordinates daily workflow and schedule of the department while maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs.
- Assists with quality assurance projects and assists in the development of exam protocols along ide of or in place of advanced sonographers and communicates results back to departmental leadership.
- Assumes the leadership role in the absence of the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Completion of formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required.
- 3 years of ultrasound experience required.
- Performance review consistent with minimum of strong/Solid performance on last performance review.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
RDMS Registered required.CPR or BLS Preferred.CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
