Marketing Representative CRS

Description

UPMC Centers for Rehab Services is currently hiring a full-time Marketing Representative. The candidate will work Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with some evening and weekends, as needed. Purpose:
The marketing representative develops and maintains referral sources through new and established contacts and is accountable for the assigned geographic territories designated by the Director of Marketing & Business Development. The marketing representative is responsible for maintaining effective communication with all healthcare team members, physicians, office managers, patients/family members and corporate management team. The marketing representative is responsible for driving and promoting CRS as of the provider of choice for the traditional and specialty services offered by our professional rehab team.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develops and maintains effective communications and working relationships with all internal customers (Director of Marketing & Business Development, Marketing Representatives, Marketing Assistant, CRS Therapists, Corporate Management Team) and external customers (healthcare team members, physicians, nurse case managers, practice and office managers, patients/family members).
  • Promotes CRS as the provider of choice for orthopedic rehab and specialty services through continuous exposure in the communities served.
  • Develops and maintains active relationships with current panel providers and employer contacts to increase CRS' visibility with contacts, making four (4) contacts/month.
  • Develops and maintains referral sources through new and established contacts within the territory, targeting twelve (12) new referral sources each calendar year (three (3)/quarter).
  • Presents findings of patient satisfaction survey and patient success stories from representing general services and the various specialty services we provide in support of CRS as the provider of choice for all services lines.
  • Adheres to the dress code policy of the employee handbook so as to present professionally when representing CRS.
  • Contributes to and institutes marketing plans for referral growth in assigned territories. Submits territory marketing plan that includes referral developmental goals every quarter. Submission of plans is due 2 weeks prior to the onset of next quarter.
  • Completes and submits post-event summary (PES) by one (1) week from event date.
  • Participates in community education and/or continuing education programs sponsored by the organization as requested
  • Initiates and conducts two (2) marketing, business or community awareness seminars annually for our physical therapist with the approval of POD director and Director of Marketing.
  • Initiates and conducts four (4) annual (or one (1) per quarter) lunch & learn clinical based lectures for our physical therapists with the approval of the POD director and Director of Marketing.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and recommends potential opportunities for referral growth through business development idea form.
  • Attends and actively participates in staff meetings, departmental committees and in-service education programs.
  • Actively pursues opportunities to establish workers compensation panels making four (9) contacts/month and getting on eight (8) new panels each year.
  • Works with Facility Director or POD director and presents of crafts articles quarterly that promote physical therapy services across our service offerings. For example, What therapy can do for his/her practice or patients. This is designed to promote all specialty and orthopedic services.
  • Initiates twelve (12) face-to-face contacts/prospects daily, Develops and maintains internal & external customer account profiles using a CRM database, including regular updates to notes, history, outlook calendar, synchronizing the data base at least once weekly when applicable.
  • Uses valid business reason (VBR) approach when interacting with current or prospective referral sources.
  • Increases visibility of CRS through participation in six (6) social/community events including: Health fairs, school districts, senior centers, community centers, chambers of commerce, and professional groups with a strategic focus on public relations.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or health care industry, and three years of professional work experience in related field or five years of professional work experience in marketing, product development, and/or sales experience with at least one year of health care experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES & INTERPERSONAL/LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Must possess knowledge and skills required to provide quality customer service
  • Must possess knowledge of marketing/clinical organizations relative to establish, maintain and grow referral sources
  • Must possess knowledge of valid business reason (VBR) concept and ability to apply this concept in the workplace
  • Must possess the skills and abilities necessary to initiate discussions and utilize multi level probing questions in order to a) gain solid commitments from your contacts b) direct conversations to reveal new, previously undisclosed information c) minimize and neutralize resistance d) build a sales closing map from start to finish
  • Must possess the skills & abilities to be highly adaptable, relate on multiple levels and to initiate success stories in a professional fashion
  • Must be goal oriented, driven & professional
  • Must display creativity and the ability to be opportunistic
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be skilled in planning/organization, follow up/control, delegation, problem solving, self-development orientation, organizational behaviors/competencies, and stress tolerance
  • Must possess the ability to apply principles of logic and strategic thinking to a wide range of problems, and to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables
  • Ability to respond appropriately to telephone inquiries
  • Active participation with health care industry professional organizations is preferred
