UPMC Community Medicine Incorporated is currently hiring a Regular, Full Time Office Manager for our well-established Level Green Family Practice in Trafford, PA!

This position will work a Monday - Friday daylight schedule from 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm. Rotating Saturday coverage from 9:00am to 1:00pm is required approximately once every 5 weeks.

This position will be part of a supportive management team that oversees a growing Family Practice of over 30 years with 18 providers and soon to be 6 locations. The ideal candidate for this position would have experience with medical office management and Epic or EpicCare. 

 

Purpose:
Manages the timely and organized operation of the general services of the Center including scheduling, coordinating templates, coordinating all operational tasks, and assisting the director of the center on a daily basis. Ability to order all supplies utilized in the clinical area and for coordinating the maintenance of the equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Anticipate scheduling issues when members of the staff are not scheduled.
  • Coordinate and staff laser templates, ensuring that patients are properly scheduled.
  • Review patient schedules routinely to troubleshoot for overbooked clinics, as well as staffing in respective areas of the department.
  • Develop and maintain a patient-centric culture, centered around patient arrival and follow up activities in line with the consumerism initiatives, if applicable.
  • Maintain correspondence with the Practice Manager concerning personnel, human resources, supplies, and patient issues.
  • Order all supplies and services as needed for this practice.
  • Be cognizant of and apply relative administrative, UPP, and departmental policies and procedures for the protection of the patients, staff, and department.
  • Monitor and meet practice specific benchmarks inclusive of point of service and scheduling (inclusive of template management for timely patient access), if applicable.
  • Ensure that the clinical environment is patient friendly, appropriate for staff and physicians to work and be productive by working closely with the staff and physicians responding to issues and problem-solving.
  • Provide and coordinate maintenance of all equipment used by the clinical staff of the department.
  • Responsible for the timely and organized operation of the general services of the office including scheduling, coordinating templates, coordinating all operational tasks, and assisting as needed on a daily basis.
  • Work denial work queues in conjunction with the CBO
  • Manage all staff in the office. Collaborate with manager in selecting, monitoring, and evaluating staff.
  • Ensure accuracy for all daily charge input, both inpatient and outpatients of CPT and diagnosis codes
  • Complete CMI monthly/quarterly reporting as instructed

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Care or Business + 1 year experience
  • OR Associate's Degree in Health Care or Business + 3 years of experience
  • OR High School Diploma + 5 years of experience
