UPMC is excited to be hiring Student Workers for Summer 2022! If you are a student in a construction-related field looking for hands-on learning this is the position for you!  

The Student Worker will assist the Corporate Construction Management department. The position will provide the opportunity to support the construction project management team on capital construction projects. The position will support the structural, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical scopes of work. This is a paid temporary Summer position and will be scheduled approximately 40 hours a week.  


  • Complete function-specific tasks and assignments
  • Represent UPMC internally and externally at project meetings
  • Complete assigned tasks under the supervision of UPMC project management team 
  • Review project documents such as submittals, RFIs, and change orders as directed and under the supervision of UPMC project management team



  • High School Diploma strongly preferred
  • Current enrollment in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering program preferred.
  • Interest in healthcare construction
  • Experience with CADD, Revit a plus.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 34
