UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

Team Leader, Food Services

Description

UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Team Leader, Food Services to support the Nutritional Services department!

This position will work varying day or evening shifts along with every other weekend and holiday. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.

The Team Leader, Food Services supports the Food Service Supervisor in all aspects of the daily operation, with emphasis on the training and development of food service associates.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise hourly associates and their adherence to all UPMC policies and procedures and department standards and guidelines.
  • Oversee security of inventory and cash revenues.
  • Orient, train, and coach new team members as per department guidelines.
  • Monitor all aspects of the department's food safety program routinely and take immediate and appropriate action to identified hazards.
  • Supervise services according to department standards and complete quality control and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Perform routine competency checks on associate performance with appropriate follow-through.
  • Conduct and document service recovery on all customer complaints as per operational guidelines.
  • Monitor food quantity and quality to ensure appropriate product is available for meal service according to menu and special requests.
  • Monitor all aspects of the operation's sanitation program daily to always ensure inspection readiness.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma/GED preferred
  • Cash handling skills preferred
  • 2 years relevant experience required

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Obtain Servsafe or Professional Food Safety Manager Certification within 6 months of hire date.
