At Cole Place, part of UPMC Senior Communities, we are looking for an Assistant Nursing Home Administrator. Conveniently connected to UPMC Cole, Cole Place is a home-like setting where we proudly provide compassionate care to our residents and their families.
The ANHA assists the Nursing Home Administrator in directing the daily functions of the facility in accordance with the current federal, state, county and local standards that regulate Long Term Care. They may oversee admissions, activities, medical assistance, front end procedures, survey readiness and the marketing plan.
Responsibilities:
- Provide coverage for the Nursing Home Administrator and assist with the daily functions of the facility. Assist in planning, developing, organizing and directing the facility's Quality Assurance Program and survey readiness.
- Monitor resident satisfaction and development of action plans to address satisfaction trends.
- Monitor resident satisfaction with activities and provide a variety of activities based on resident interests (Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center).
- Ensure appropriate combination of age related general activity, specialized small group activity and individual programming is quantifiable throughout daily calendars, observations, documentation and past review by Department of Health. Ensure compliance with regulations and make corrections or changes as needed.
- Coordinate the implementation of the facility marketing plan. Assist in marketing, developing and evaluating the programs of the facility.
- Review accidents and incidents and make recommendations for an effective safety program for the residents. Review resident complaints and grievances and create written reports of actions taken.
- Develop and maintain written policies and procedures that govern the operation of the facility. Interpret the facility's policies and procedures to employees, residents, family members, visitors and government agencies. Ensure that all employees, visitors and the general public follow established policies and take action to correct violations.
- Participate in the facilities personnel process, to include interviewing, orienting, terminating employment, disciplinary action and unemployment hearings.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a business or healthcare related field preferred.
- Bachelors degree and NHA License preferred, to be completed within 2 years from offer acceptance.
- Related experience in Long Term Care and a bachelors degree required in lieu of the degree in business or healthcare related field.
- Two years of management or related experience required.
- Two years experience in a social or recreational program, or business setting within the past five years, one of which was full time in a health care setting, preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Nursing Home Administrator in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Required within two years of hire
