Purpose:
Clean Sweep is a department that supports the MH community by providing job opportunities for individuals with current or past mental health needs. This department provides a supportive team approach with competitive wages.
Previous janitorial skills are highly preferred. Competent communication skills are highly encouraged. Clothing must be free of offensive, or suggestive wording, graphics and should not depict references related to drugs, alcohol, or illegal/immoral substances or activities. No open-toed shoes.
The shift for this position is flexible.
Responsibilities:
- Complete cleaning duties as needed to meet the contract specifications and expectations of the customer. Daily vacuuming all carpet areas. (open offices/conference rooms, hallways and entranceways. Detailing crevices along baseboards, corners, and behind doors as needed) Daily sweeping and mopping of all tiled areas (detailing baseboards and corners). Daily care of Bathrooms-clean and disinfectWeekly/Monthly detail work (spot clean walls, door knobs, light switches and air vents, etc., as per scope of service.Trash removal/replacing trash liners. Restock supplies. Daily tracking of inventory. Accurate documentation of time sheet. Floor Care as requested.
- Maintain a well groomed appearance, with good hygiene and in proper attire (long pants worn at the waist, no controversial t-shirts depicting drugs, alcohol, or sexual messages, non-slip and closed toe footwear, no dangling jewelry, facial piercings, or strong fragrances
- Immediately inform supervisor of any areas of concerns, needs, or unusual events.
- Responsible for arriving to job site on time and call off policy
- Responsible for practicing good safety habits and procedures at all times.
- Establish and maintain courteous relationships with all consumers, customers, co-workers and any other internal or external contacts, striving to exceed their expectations for service, quality and delivery.
- Responsible for following program/agency policy and procedures, state regulations and the agency compliance plan at all times.
Qualifications
- Adult with past or current connection as a consumer of Mental Health or Intellectual Disabilities Services.
- Complete application as approved by department supervisor
- Required to be able to lift 20 pounds unassisted and more than 20 pounds assisted.
- Demonstrated ability to complete job functions
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Act 73 if they have lived outside of PA in the past 2 years
