Our team is growing, and we are so excited to recruit a Recruiter to join our UPMC Western Maryland team! This is a full-time position that works weekday daylight hours – with flexibility! Three days per week from home, and two days in office with your work besties!
As a Recruiter at UPMC, you will be responsible for recruiting on nursing and nursing support positions. Daily responsibilities include crafting job postings, reviewing applications, preparing salary recommendations, extending offers of employment, and so much more! This is a fast-paced, supportive and rewarding role!

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary employment consultant for designated departments.
- Realistically describe to applicants the responsibilities of any appropriate position
- Choose the most qualified candidates to refer to departments based upon documented objective criteria consistent with the legal requirements, job description, qualifications, and business unit policies in a timely manner.
- Facilitate job posting system. Confirm job requirements on recruitment request form with those on the approved job description to assure correct requirements are posted.
- Comply, analyze and prepare reports on the computer and works on special projects as requested.
- Conduct employment screening interviews for internal and external applicants, of all levels and types of positions, including management.
- Represent UPMC at external and internal functions (i.e., job fairs, UPMC sponsored events, etc.), provide the public with information about UPMC and career opportunities
- Review and evaluate candidate applications and/or resume in terms of related experience, education and skill rejecting those not meeting the minimum qualifications on the approved job description.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field and at least one year of recruitment experience required.
- OR High School Diploma/GED and three years of recruitment experience required.
- Proficiency with recruitment related software and database mining required.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
PHR, SPHR certification, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification or UPMC HCI Strategic HR Business Partner Certification preferred.
