Description

Our Community Life Team is growing! We are looking for an Office Assistant to join our team in Harrisburg! Ideal candidates must be willing to assist with Administrative tasks within our ambulance billing office. 

Purpose:
Responsible for working with the Billing Department Manager and staff to assure a smooth flow of daily billing office activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Under direct supervision, provides general administrative support to the Community LifeTeam Billing Office
  • Order office supplies and maintains office equipment
  • Sorts, distributes, prioritizes, and composes routine correspondence following established procedures
  • Performs routine clerical functions, such as copying, sorting, filing, and typing
  • Assist with administrative duties in the office including scanning of medical records and faxing
  • Sets up and maintains varied office files, logs, and records office activities
  • Responds to routine questions
  • Answers, screens, and routes incoming calls and messages
  • Greets, screens and directs visitors to appropriate staff member
  • Maintain both yourself and your work in a manner consistent with a professional environment

 

Qualifications

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Up to one year administrative experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of word processing, electronic mail/calendar, and spreadsheet
  • Ability to use applicable MS Suite products
  • Knowledge of business processes and procedures
  • Ability to learn the use of EMS charting and billing software
  • Ability to use basic reasoning skills
  • Previous work experience in a medical office and/or healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong phone etiquette skills highly preferred


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Clearances must be dated within 90 days

  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
