Description
Purpose:
As STAT MedEvacs Compliance Coordinator, you will work under the direction of the Quality and Education Manager, the Compliance Coordinator is primarily responsible for maintaining all state required licensure, adherence to the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems standards and will ensure STAT MedEvacs standard operating procedures are upheld. The Compliance Coordinator is expected to contribute to the implementation and success of the mission and ongoing goals determined by the Medical Operations Team and Executive Management at STAT MedEvac.
Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
- Work productively and effectively within a complex environment and handle multiple/changing priorities.
- Support management decisions and assist with implementation of program goals and objectives.
- Manage the employee health program; collaborating with the Medical Directors, UPMC Employee Health, and other clinical agencies to ensure compliance with the employee health program.
- Acts in coordination with Medical Directors, Department of Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Director of Medical Operations, and Regional Medical Managers to ensure pharmaceutical acquisition, distribution, and management remains within state, federal, and system-wide compliance. Oversees, investigates, and implements policies and procedures regarding medication divergence programs and mitigation processes.
- Collaborate with the Medical Directors, Director of Medical Operations, and Regional Medical Managers to ensure compliance with system standardization and state licensure requirements for equipment and supplies.
- Establish and maintain a working knowledge on state licensure requirements for all states in which STAT MedEvac provides service; providing advice to the Executive Management Group, policy and procedure review, collaboration across program departments, and implementing programs and/or procedures necessary to maintain state licensure.
- Prepare all necessary documents and paperwork necessary for CAMTS standards; communicating and interacting with CAMTS as needed to facilitate ongoing accreditation and coordinate program surveys conducted by CAMTS.
- Establish and maintain a working knowledge of all Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) accreditation standards; providing advice to the Executive Management Group, standard operation procedure review, collaboration across program departments, and implementing programs and/or procedures necessary to maintain CAMTS accreditation.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree and two years of EMS or Critical Care Transport compliance-related experience preferred, OR
- Associate degree and four years of EMS or Critical Care Transport compliance-related experience.
- A working knowledge of state regulations, CAMTS accreditation, and compliance is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Word preferred.
- Excellent documentation, organization, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- A professional demeanor with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines required.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
If moonlighting in another STAT MedEvac position, must continue to meet the requirements of that position.
