Description
Responsibilities:
- Construct and maintain structural and architectural woodwork, equipment, and fixtures; build millwork, construct casework per print and perform masonry repairs as needed.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas, equipment rooms and shop areas.
- Operate power woodworking machinery such lathes, saws, sander, power actuated tools, etc.
- Perform all work following infection control procedures.
- Perform any maintenance work required in which skills can be utilized.
- Perform related duties such as repair and install locks, install window glass, cut, fit and cement linoleum, lay resilient tile floors, etc.
- Perform rough and finished carpentry, i.e. build millwork, and construct casework.
- Record personal work orders and submit hours to the supervisor on a daily basis.
- Repair furniture, window, floor or structural and architectural woodwork by measuring, sawing, squaring, fitting, sanding and nailing or other processes where articles require closely fitted parts.
- Responsible for setting up an appropriate level of infection control containment (ICRA) based on risk level and maintaining the integrity of that containment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Trade school or trade-specific multi-discipline certificate required.
- Military experience considered.
- 2 years of carpentry experience working in a healthcare or commercial building environment.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Driver's License
- Act 34
