Description
This position works Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, and is responsible for covering various regional hospital-based facilities, like Ambulatory Care Clinics, Cancer Centers, and Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Paid milage but would need to use own car.
Purpose:
Manage service calls for Building Maintenance Services (BMS), which incorporates facilities across multiple counties to effectively oversee installation, repair, and upkeep, including mechanical systems, buildings, and other structures. Responsible for coordinating a combination of reactive and scheduled skilled trade work orders and complex projects; maintains communication with clients to successfully complete each work request within the required timeline.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper Infection Control Risk Assessment containment (ICRA), maintaining integrity throughout all projects and daily maintenance operations. In addition, verify that safety barriers and lighting are properly placed, attend all required safety meetings, act as liaison to the corporate insurance agent to ensure proper OSHA standards, inspect all project, shop, and storage areas for the safe operation of equipment and that all safety regulations are followed by staff and subcontractors, implementing corrective action as necessary.
- Effectively manage/supervise an FTE staff of mobile maintenance craftsmen to ensure continuous improvement in productivity and quality.
- Ensure all work is tracked via the TMS Work Order System and properly coded for labor reimbursement; responsible for all TMS reporting, as requested.
- Ensure all department policies and procedures, safety, training, information systems, working standards, etc., including ICRA procedures, are observed to ensure optimum efficiency.
- Direct and coordinate the planning, design, and execution of facility maintenance, renovation, and alteration projects that support building maintenance, including customer service work orders, quality assurance, and other requirements defined by the Department's operating goals and objectives.
- Coordinate and direct the efficient use of manpower, establishing and communicating daily work schedules with property managers, tenants, and residential managers to meet scheduled deadlines; investigate and respond to customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Develop and manage all economic aspects of maintenance management, including budgeting costs, negotiating contracts with product vendors and hiring personnel.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school preferred.
- Three (3) years of facilities management required, preferably in a large, fast-paced, or healthcare setting.
- Two (2) years of project management preferred.
- Ability to develop and monitor budgets for construction projects required.
- Strong leadership, communication, verbal, and written skills are required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project with the ability to operate computerized building management systems and CMMS systems.
