Description
Purpose:
The part time Research Associate will help with recruitment, informed consent, assist study participants in doing study questionnaires, help with scheduling participants, scientific literature reviews for papers and grants, and if the employee is interested – help with scientific writing. The study aims to help reduce benzodiazepine use in patients who are receiving treatment for opioid use disorder. We will test a psychotherapy that attempts to improve patients’ ability to tolerate distressful thoughts and emotions.
This position is grant funded.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruitment, scheduling appointments, obtaining written consent forms, collecting data by conducting phone or face to face interviews for research project(s).
- Maintain accurate documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required preferably in Psychology or related field.
- Familiarity with computers and common software packages required.
- Prior related work experience in a research setting preferred.
- Interest/experience with substance use disorders preferred.
- Working knowledge of research methodology strongly preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Act 34 with renewal
