The Department of Dermatology is excited to recruit for a Licensed Practical Nurse to support our Department of Dermatology!
The position is located in Falk Clinic, Oakland, PA. We provide care to our general dermatology patients, as well as support our excision clinic, along with meeting the dermatology needs of our transplant population. The Practical Nurse must demonstrate exceptional clinical skills, attention to detail, and a comfort with direct patient care, as well as back office items including but not limited to check in/out, Prior authorizations, and assisting our patients with achieving telemedicine appointments. The ability to provide compassionate care, work as part of a team, and the desire to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment is a must.
The position is primarily Monday - Friday!
No Weekends, Holidays, or On Call Required!

Sign-On Bonus Details:
- The Sign-On bonus for LPNs is $5,000 for Graduate Nurses with a two-year work commitment
- Experienced LPNs are eligible for $7,500 with a two year work commitment
- Experienced LPNs are classified as candidates with 1 year of LPN experience or greater

Purpose:
Provides professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers.
Responsibilities:
- Draw blood.
- Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
- Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip.
- Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
- Comply with all policies and procedures.
- Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.
- Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
- Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
- Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
Qualifications
Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing. One year clinical experience preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
