Description
In addition to performing imaging procedures at an advanced level, coordinates workflow, assists with projects and coordinates educational activities. Functions as a working technologist and distributes workload to ensure efficient operations.
This position works days with on call responsibilities.
$10,000 sign on bonus with a 2 year commitment for new hires.
Responsibilities:
- Performs all job responsibilities of Level II MRI Advanced Technologist including practices and maintains MR safety in the department, addresses patient safety through proper patient identification, labeling/preparation/and administration of contrast and communicating according to standard operating procedures, completes procedures according to protocol while presenting relevant information to physician, and updates and documents patient information into rad assessment.
- Leads orientation and training for new hires, students and other medical personnel; ensures competencies are completed in the required time frame. Responsible for offering remediation with technologists when necessary
- Coordinates daily workflow and schedule of the department while maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs.
- Assists with quality assurance projects and assists in the development of exam protocols alongside of or in place of Advanced Level II MRI Tech and communicates results back to departmental leadership.
- Assists in talent acquisition interviews for successful recruitment of MRI Technologist candidates and provides feedback for annual performance reviews.
- Assumes the leadership role in the absence of the supervisor
- Experience with MRI Breast and MRI Breast Biopsy is required for this role
Qualifications
- Completion of formal training in MRI-related program accredited by the ARRT or completion of an accredited CNMT program or accredited ARDMS program.
- 3 years MRI experience required.
- Performance review consistent with minimum of strong/ Solid performance on last performance review.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
ARRT MR Certified required.CPR or BLS Required.CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
Clearances must be dated within 5 years of hire date
- ARRT Certificate OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
