Description

UPMC Health Plan has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Operational Member Correspondence Strategist in its Print and Fulfillment and Operational Member Correspondence department, located in downtown Pittsburgh at the U.S. Steel Tower. The Associate Operational Member Correspondence Strategist assesses, plans, and executes projects that support sales and retention goals and enhance member experience and satisfaction for UPMC Health Plan Insurance Services Division.  This role will participate in the planning and execution of operational communications. 

This Strategist will also customize, as needed, all member communication including benefit plan designs, closing gaps in care, Privacy, Network & Credentialing, Enrollment, or member satisfaction, support internal business owners needs throughout the life cycle of the relationship, support the business owners with meeting marketing material, PowerPoint slides, brand updates, health literacy review, regulatory updates and document production including fulfillment. 

Associate Operational Member Correspondence Strategist works closely with the marketing team to ensure materials are prepared in consideration of consistency in brand, messaging, and client customization. They will develop a tactical plan for all initiatives to ensure that timelines, deadlines, and milestones are understood and met.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Operational Member Correspondence Strategist to develop and execute strategies and tactical marketing plans that engage, educate and retain members, drive demand, and support revenue and business goals.
  • Drafting operational member correspondence initiatives and implementation plans into a cohesive plan that business stakeholders can execute against.
  • Collaborate across various departments to assess member and provider engagement opportunities that coincide with health plan products programs and services.
  • Assist with the identification and details for appropriate operational member correspondence initiatives and/or tactics that achieve desired results.
  • Ensure coordination and clear communication among stakeholders on all activities.
  • Build and manage initiative calendars and deliverables along the operational member correspondence communication process.
  • Maintain relationships and ensure strategic success with clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years experience with healthcare/health insurance products (inclusive of health insurance operations, member communication and/or marketing materials development); OR Master's degree and 1-year experience.
  • Experience in managing and building business and client relationships.
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Will need to manage multiple tasks and projects and forge key relationships with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Results oriented with the ability to review processes, identify opportunities, and work independently.
