Description
Purpose:
Provides leadership, direction, and administration for all aspects of the HealthChoices Program to ensure compliance with the goals set by Community Care.
This is a hybrid role that will report into the office 2-3 days per week and will require occasional state and regional travel.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Community Care President, in conjunction with the county oversight, to define, develop, and implement programs and services to further the mission and goals of the organization.
- Collaborate with Community Care senior management.
- Advise President and management, develop, coordinate and direct internal policies as they relate to external affairs.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies governing managed care services and the rules of accrediting bodies by continually monitoring the organization's service delivery and initiating changes as required.
- Encourage participation of the community stakeholders in helping to define and implement quality health care programs including integration of physical health interest and non-profit values in the new work staff.
- Encourage integration of Community Care into the community by developing and supporting community outreach programs that focus on the health of the community.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office including supervision of the Clinical Manager, Care Managers, Customer Service Representatives, Complaint and Grievance Coordinator, Provider Relations Coordinator and all support staff.
- Act as key contact for county oversight.
- Stay up-to-date on local, regional and national affairs, policies, and legislation affecting behavioral health care and Community Care.
- Communicate concerns from various stakeholders to the appropriate programs, departments within Community Care and work with Community Care staff to ensure that areas of concern are appropriately addressed.
- Ensure focus on services outcomes by including these principles in all service delivery plans, member services policies and ad hoc report development.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in field related to behavioral health or government relations with related behavioral health experience.
- 12-15 years in the public sector of behavioral health in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Knowledge of the public agencies and population served.
- Direct service experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills required.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
