Description
Provide support to the staff to facilitate the case flow within Surgical Sevices.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with care, cleaning, and maintenance of all specialty equipment, including, but not limited to, lasers, video towers, microscopes, positioning supplies.
- Assist SpecialtyNurses with the set-up and ordering of instrument trays. Check daily with SPD for broken instruments, and incomplete trays.
- Coordinate following days schedule for equipment utilization and provides necessary equipment to the appropriate rooms. (Includes video equipment, positioning equipment, cameras & telescopes and instruments all shared resources). Track shared resources/equipment between OR/ASC.
- Maintain special order supplies and put away order when it comes in. Also assist with orthopedic inventory.
- Assure equipment malfunctions are reported to the appropriate department, ie. Maintenance or Biomedical Engineering.
- Assist in care/cleaning/processing/retrieval and return of minimally invasive instruments between cases.
Qualifications
- High School diploma.
- Surgical related experience preferred.
- Central Sterile, OR, or Surg Tech experience preferred.
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
