Res Project Coordinator WPIC | Psychiatry and Neuroscience Laboratory (PyNeL) Lab


The Psychiatry and Neuroscience Laboratory (PyNeL) Lab focuses on applying multimodal brain imaging techniques, including high-density (hd)-EEG as well as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) with simultaneous hd-EEG, Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS), and interleaved functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) with Theta Burst Stimulation (TBS), cognitive testing, and behavioral tasks in healthy and clinical populations. The Res Project Coordinator WPIC will be responsible for the acquisition, databasing, and sharing of neuroimaging and clinical data while also being potentially involved in data analyses. The Res Project Coordinator WPIC will communicate with the other members of the lab, including the research assistants, postdoctoral associates, and the PI, to ensure that every aspect of the studies, including recruitment and data acquisition, is on track. The ideal candidate should have some experience working in a research lab that collects multimodal imaging data and expertise in clinical research coordination, experience working with or for the IRB in a healthcare or research environment. Ability to work with people in a variety of roles, both inside and outside of the laboratory. A high degree of integrity, team orientation, professionalism, and trustworthiness. Excellent organizational and data management. Self-directed, persistent, capacity to work through difficult situations.

This position is grant funded.


  • Coordinate the daily activities and special projects for department.
  • Coordination of recruitment ie. Advertisements, tracking recruitment, and developing strategies to increase response in targeted populations.
  • Coordinate scheduling of assessments.
  • Assist with quality assurance over all aspects of data collection and management, including data flow, data entry and verification, maintenance of all project databases, data security and confidentiality.
  • Responsible for the submission of regular reports detailing the progress of the research, including NIH progress reports.
  • Provides regular supervision for junior staff.
  • Responsible for preparing and modifying IRB protocols, Regulatory Binders, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of project spending and funds available.
  • Communicate effectively with the research, clinical, and administrative staff related to this research.
  • Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned (i.e, contribute to data collection).


  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Business Administration or related area of study and three years of relevant research and/or clinical experience is required.
  • Knowledge of various software analysis packages, including Microsoft Office and Matlab, and understanding of statistical concepts and principles is preferred.
  • Previous experience with running neuroimaging/electrophysiological/neurostimulation studies is highly preferred.

  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
