The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

Description

Purpose:
Conduct or assist in the documentation of simple to moderate financial analyst projects.

This position works days and reports to 305 North Front Street in Harrisburg.
Responsibilities:

  • Perform statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reported in the various financial systems.
  • Review costs and perform cost benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs.
  • Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Assist in the analysis of financial data and extract and define relevant information; interpret data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.
  • Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
  • Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.
  • Assists in the on-going technical support of decision support/cost accounting system.  Including data integrity and day to day maintenance of system.  
  • Performs monthly interface and reconciliations for cost accounting. 
  • Assists in end-user support and acts as a liaison between end-users and appropriate personnel when additional product expertise is required. 
  • Assists in the yearly budget process. 
  • Position requires the ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel within the organization. 
  • Must be able to organize work-time to respond to established priorities.  Uses time effectively and productively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related business field required or High School Diploma/GED and two years of related work experience. 
  • Microsoft Office spreadsheet application and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Clearances must be dated within 90 days

  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
