The Program Manager will be responsible for understanding and monitoring the telehealth and digital health landscape and supporting strategy development and execution to expand and strengthen the Health Plan’s telehealth program. The person in this role must have strong skills in both strategy and execution.

Responsibilities will include strategic planning, project management, senior level presentations, client meetings with upper management, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, program evaluation and reporting. 



  • Manage project delivery using an Agile framework.
  • Manage various programs and initiatives related to digital health growth and innovation
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to provide relevant deliverables. This may include business cases, strategy documents and developing contracts with UPMCHP legal department.
  • Meet project plan deadlines.
  • Implement programs for maximum results and member satisfaction.
  • Summarize and interpret program results and prepare program summary documents for external teams and executive leadership.
  • Coordinate related activities of other UPMCHP departments and DHI teams as necessary to ensure cross-team visibility and successful, seamless collaboration.
  • Design and develop new project plans for new programs/events as needed, including policies and procedures, program outlines, contracts as needed with participating facilities, and all marketing materials.
  • As relevant, manage, in part or in full, relevant staff to aid in project implementation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



  • Masters degree in health administration or related health field preferred; or Bachelors degree with demonstrated successful experience in clinical program administration and/or another health-related discipline.
  • A minimum of five to seven years of applicable experience in health care delivery is required.
  • 3 years in health care insurance preferred.
  • The candidate must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  •  Management experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Financial analytic skills preferred.
  • Must be able to interact and negotiate with all facets of the wellness industry.
  • Excellent planning, documentation, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills are also required.
  • The candidate must demonstrate leadership and project management skills.
  • Ability to map re-engineering processes to positively impact productivity in terms of timeliness and accuracy.
  • Ability to work with and take direction from Senior Management. Desire to continue upward progression within the organization.
