Coordinator, Pharmacy Compliance (Presbyterian/Shadyside)

Description

UPMC Presby/Shady is looking for a full time Coordinator, Pharmacy Compliance to join their growing team!

The Coordinator, Pharmacy Compliance in Pittsburgh, PA will coordinate and direct hospital and pharmacy department's policies for managing dispensation, delivery and usage of narcotics and controlled substances; develop/implement guidelines, policies, procedures, audits, and other quality control measures to ensure standardization of practices and compliance with federal/state controlled substance laws and regulations; oversee internal investigations and resolutions of potential controlled substance compliance violations; and responsible for regulatory preparedness for the Joint Commission standards as they relate to the pharmacy.

You will work daylight, weekday shifts and support both Presbyterian and Shadyside Hospitals.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee internal investigations and resolutions of potential controlled substance compliance violations
  • Coordinate and direct hospital and pharmacy department's policies for managing dispensation, delivery and usage of narcotics and controlled substances
  • Responsible for regulatory preparedness for the Joint Commission standards as they relate to the pharmacy
  • Develop/implement guidelines, policies, procedures, audits, and other quality control measures to ensure standardization of practices and compliance with federal/state controlled substance laws and regulations

 

Qualifications

  • Pharm.D.Degree or Bachelor's or Master's Degrees in Pharmacology
  • Three years of experience must include at least one year of experience with each of the following:
    • (1) a leadership role within a hospital pharmacy department;
    • (2) interpreting and monitoring compliance with federal/state controlled substance laws & regulations
    • (3) pharmacological data collection and analysis; and
    • (4) MS Office.Valid PA Pharmacist license
