UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

Provide functional support in system processes, procedures, trouble shooting, and product training, and new product development and implementation.


  • Support the vision of the UPMC in providing outstanding patient care, education and research, in all responsibilities.Provide support so the organization can efficiently and effectively meet the growing regulatory requirements while offering skills based and developmental training needs consistently across the system.Schedule, implement, and deliver training classes to ensure that established training goals and objectives are met.
  • Design and develop systems, processes and procedures for efficient provision and administration of training services, including scheduling and implementation of system wide activities and programs.Maintain database of business unit contacts, facilities, resources and systems for registration and tracking various types of needs and services throughout the system.Support and work closely with Trainers to assist them in all facets of Training and Development.
  • Support in the development and implementation of consistent training administration procedures across the system. Serve as internal consultant/project manager for computer based training projects as needed/assigned throughout the system.Test, monitor, and perform quality assurance tests to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Review training templates for accuracy and consistency as appropriate.Work with key Educators to handle training requests, training templates, and problems.Coordinate/compose communications on vendors and training opportunities/services open and offered.



  • B.A. degree or equivalent preferred with at least 1 year of experience working in an education/training function.
  • Knowledge and experience working with an Electronic Learning Management System is preferred.
  • Ability to collect and manage information, organize projects, and coordinate activities are all required skills.
  • Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, email and scheduling applications.
  • Skilled in verbal and written communications and facilitating professional presentations and emphasis on technical and computer skills training.
