Description

UPMC is hiring a Data Clerk II to support the Minimally Invasive Bariatric and General Surgery program in Oakland.

In this position you would be working with a team to input departmental data, attend meetings regarding MBSAQIP data entry, and communicate with staff and patients.

You would work a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00am to 4:30pm. This position is located at Craft Place in Oakland/Pittsburgh.

UPMC's Minimally Invasive Bariatric and General Surgery program provides much more than surgical procedures. Our program is one of the largest and best-known programs for weight loss surgery in the country. Our board-certified, fellowship-trained surgeons are leading authorities in the fields of laparoscopic surgery and minimally invasive bariatric surgery. This group of surgeons have vast experience with thousands of general surgical procedures. 

Purpose:
Provide assistance and support to the research team. Supporting the research associates and coordinators in their research activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter and verify patient information in databases.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Support all relevant database(s) in an effort to help with the clinical and research aspects of the department
  • Display a caring and courteous attitude.
  • Assist all Research Associates in collecting and verifying information.
  • Demonstrate regard for the dignity and respect of all patients.
  • Assist in training all new Data Entry and Temporary staff.
  • Represent UPMC in a positive and professional manner.

 

Qualifications

  • Completion of High School education.
  • 1 year of experience in health care facility.
  • Require strong Microsoft Office skills.
