Summary:
The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager, CRNA Operations. This role will work Monday - Friday daylight shifts. After six (6) months of a successful training period, you will have an opportunity for remote work opportunities. Unique opportunity to work with Sr. CRNA Director working collaboratively to provide internal direction for the largest group of CRNAs in the United States.
A successful candidate for this role will
• Work collaboratively with Senior CRNA Director to identify process improvement opportunities across departments within operations
• Develop relationships with Senior Leaders such as Department Chair, Executive Vice Chair, Executive Administrator, and other Department leaders
• Provides internal direction, leadership, and accountability for project management efforts amongst a large CRNA Group
• Creates and implements process improvement plan as it relates to operations
• Work in close collaboration with UPMC’s System Surgical Services, as well as our Wolff Center to develop best practices that promote improved outcomes for our patients. Provide internal direction, leadership, and accountability for project management efforts among operations as well as across the system.
Responsibilities:
- Identify trends and process improvement opportunities across departments within operations.
- Perform cost/benefit analysis
- Develop and implement key metrics to measure and report on progress of initiatives.
- Work with other managers to achieve efficiencies across integration of projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, this includes utilizing standard project documentation and methodology and project tracking and reporting procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, statistics, health care, management, or related business field required.
- Four (4) years of related work experience. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience in health care insurance or health care industry preferred.
- Excellent computer skills required, including Access, Excel, Microsoft Project, and other pertinent computer software packages. Strong management, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written) are required. Excellent Project Management skills along with effective planning and organizational skills. Ability to perform planning for large initiatives/projects, managing all tasks required to providing services to meet client and business needs within budget and targeted deadlines.
