Rural Family Medicine Residency Program Coordinator and Rural Residency Program Development (RRPD) HRSA Grant Coordinator position is designed to support the development of a rural family medicine program. This position will coordinate the grant funding for the development of the program. This position is critical to the success of this rural family medicine program and will be an integral part of the development of the program.


  • Complete the ongoing requirements for the maintenance of the HRSA and foundation grants as deemed necessary by each grant source.
  • Assist with the marketing and recruiting of the rural family medicine residency program.
  • In conjunction with the Program Director, coordinate the community and core faculty development program as required for the initiation of the rural family medicine residency program.
  • Assist with the writing of the ACGME application and ensure knowledge of the ACGME requirements to assist the Program Director in completing the initial application, and subsequently, maintaining ACGME accreditation.
  • Develop the skills needed to perform the duties of Program Coordinator via a planned development program and through a mentoring relationship with the Program Coordinator.
  • Support the development of the rural training program by coordinating and completing the administrative duties associated with the HRSA and foundation's development grants.
  • Perform the duties of Program Coordinator as outlined in the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Common Program Requirements as the lead administrative person in the development of the rural training program.


  • Associate Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience with residency graduate medical education is preferred.
  • Experience with integrating complex medical, educational, and grant requirements and regulation is preferred.
  • Experience in communicating and problem-solving at a managerial level or higher is preferred.
  • Experience as a leader and personnel management is preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
