UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

Description

Purpose:

Provides leadership, guidance and support to a multi-faceted information technology projects. Leads and manages the day-to-day fiscal, administrative and operational activities of the projects. Serves as principal point of contact and liaison with external partners, vendors and funding agencies. Collaborates with partners in development of strategic direction. Manages the contractual responsibilities associated with related programs and projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and ManagementExperienced in planning and managing project scope, schedules, resources, budget, issues, and risks. Understands need and value of attention to detail. Proactively identifies and addresses project risks. Utilizes change management to control scope and communicate scope changes. Tracks and reports project progress, and forecast trends.
  • Process OrientedUtilizes organizational and PMO processes and standards to provide consistent and excellent project management services. Understands the need and value to continually define and/or improve processes.
  • Relevant Technical/Business KnowledgeExperience in a similar technical/industry. Demonstrates financial awareness. Working knowledge of analytical and problem-solving techniques and tools.
  • CommunicationExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including summaries, presentations, and executive reports.
  • Client RelationshipsUnderstands project objectives, and business value, from the user's point of view. Is customer focused. Builds trusted relationships with users.
  • Team Leadership/DevelopmentAbility to organize, manage, and lead the project team to sucess. Supports project team members and colleagues. Builds strong relationships with colleagues and IT partners. Skillfully handles situations and creates positive outcomes. Demonstrates self-awareness. Provides mentoring and support to others in areas of expertise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with 5+ years professional experience in a project implementation capacity.
  • PMP, PgMP, or other related certification preferred. OR High school diploma and 9+ years of professional experience in a project implementation capacity.
  • PMP, PgMP, or other related certification preferred

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • PMP or PgMP certification preferred
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
