COVID-19 Vaccination Information

UPMC complies with all governmental requirements related to local, state, and federal COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The Jan. 13 Supreme Court of the United States decision that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate will move forward requires UPMC to ensure employees either get vaccinated or receive a requested medical or religious exemption.

The Green Home, a Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation facility in Wellsboro, PA is seeking a part time Van Driver to join our team!  This position will work mostly days, but will work some evenings.

The Van Driver provides safe and efficient transportation for residents/patients. Transports medical related supplies or records to designated facilities or physician offices. Participates in daily vehicle checks and assists in keeping transport vehicles in good operating condition.


  • Assist patients to and from residence and into and out of van; assure patient is comfortable and properly secured with seatbelt.
  • Schedule patients for transportation services; provide transportation.
  • Call 911 and provide first aid or CPR if necessary should the patient become unstable during transport.
  • Perform and document daily vehicle checks, reporting maintenance issues. Add fluids as necessary.
  • Obtain patient information pertinent to patient, including any anticipated problems that may be encountered during transport. Promptly report any problems with patient during transport.
  • Identify processes/systems that could lead to inefficient practices, unsafe conditions, errors or adverse events. Avoid shortcuts to ensure quality and safety measures are not circumvented.  Understand that patient safety is everyone's responsibility. 



High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Three years driving experience required.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Valid Pennsylvania Drivers License required.
