Description

Community Care works to improve the health and wellbeing of over one million members through the delivery of effective and accessible behavioral health services.  Our rapidly growing Internet Strategy team is looking for a for a curious and intrepid User Experience Product Researcher II to help us understand our users and design for their goals and behaviors.  From leading human-centered research, to composing screen flows, to collaborating closely with stakeholders and development, you’ll have the autonomy to work on high-impact features that are transforming the future of behavioral healthcare delivery. 

This is a Monday – Friday, daylight position and while the position is based in downtown Pittsburgh at the Heinz 57 Center, this team has transitioned to working remotely full-time and will continue to do so post-COVID-19, permanently.  Qualified candidates from remote regional or US locations are welcome to apply. Responsibilities:

  • Research and Analytics
  • Demonstrates a strong design-led and human-centered approach to research.
  • Proficient in the creation and synthesis of several of the following: surveys, interviews, participation activities, analytics reporting, digital user testing, etc.
  • Skilled at designing and facilitating group processes by eliciting contributions from group members, stimulating focused group discussion, and achieving desired outcomes.
  • Creates tools informed by research, such as personas, journey maps, service blueprints, importance/difficulty matrix, etc., to inform the overall design process.
  • Design and Creativity
  • Demonstrates a body of work that showcases concepts, prototypes, and final deliverables informed by user insights.
  • Exhibits exceptional understanding of human-centered design best practices, standards, and user interface design.
  • Business Acumen
  • Demonstrates an understanding of quantitative research methods in order to design and analyze surveys.
  • Creates strong frameworks and guiding principles from research for the design team and business stakeholder to utilize throughout the project to design the most appropriate solution.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively with other designers and business and technology stakeholders on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Designs and leads workshops and other activities to identify business goals, establish priorities, align needs, generate ideas, present findings, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize amid demands and time constraints while meeting deadlines and schedules as required to develop and bring products into marketplace.
  • Proven track record of taking high-profile projects from concept to completion, aligning stakeholders and contributors.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in design, communication, anthropology, psychology, sociology, business or related discipline from an accredited college or university (or comparable degree and/or experience.)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience applying qualitative research in a professional environment (required).
  • Related educational experience including internship/externship will be considered.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to scope a research process, lead fieldwork, conduct interviews and perform desk research.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in synthesizing research findings and uncovering and articulating insights to inform design.
  • Must be able to lead the team, and possibly business stakeholders, through the analysis and synthesis processes ultimately revealing the most important insights to create frameworks/principles for design.
  • Experience with digital product development with research business and user problems and communicate findings as actionable items (preferred).
  • Familiarity with survey methods and tools, evaluative and usability testing methods and tools such as Optimal Workshop, UserZoom, and UserTesting.
  • Preferred but not required:Experience in the health care or insurance industries.
