UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a Full-time Systems Administrator I, MWRI to support the 8914 - 8914 MWRI&F IS department!
This position will work Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. shift. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.
Under general direction, responsible for the maintenance of the Windows server environment for Magee Womens Research Institute (MWRI). Provides end user support of the desktop computing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, diagnose and resolve end user issues relating to hardware, software and peripherals.
- Participate in technology and process improvement projects.
- Create and maintain Sharepoint sites used for collaboration and document sharing.
- Develop and maintain documentation and conduct training.
- Communicate with other IT staff toensure coverage of the ACD phone queue.
- Install, monitor and maintain Windows 2003/2008 servers.
- Utilize Cherwell Service Desk to manage Incidents, Problems, Changes and Configuration items.
- Install new hardware and system upgrades.
- Deployment of new workstations and laptops.
- Perform data backup and restore.
- Network user and security administration within Active Directory.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science, management information systems or other IS related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional IT experience is required, including 2 years of Windows server administration experience and 3 years of help desk or desktop support experience.
- Working technical knowledge of the following is required: MAC OS X; Windows XP/Vista/7; Windows 2003/2008 server.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint is preferred.
- Good communication skills required.
- Proven analytical and problem solving abilities required.
- Ability to work independently.Strong customer service skills.
- Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Apple Certified Support Professional and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist certifications preferred.
